Pranab says inflation a matter of concern

(Reuters) - Inflation in India is a matter of concern, but is expected to moderate to acceptable levels, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Monday, without specifying any time frame.

India\'s headline inflation, measured by wholesale price index , was 8.62 in September compared with 8.5 percent in August, while inflation at retail level -- measured by consumer price index -- eased to 9.82 percent in September from 9.88 percent a month ago.
