Concern over poor drinking water supply, sewerage

LUDHIANA, November 20: The general secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Pawan Dewan has expressed serious concern over the poor facilities of drinking water and sewerage in the city. He asked the officials of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation to take immediate and time bound measures to ensure that proper drinking water is supplied to all the people.

Dewan was speaking after inaugurating the sewerage work in Sarabha Nagar area. He was accompanied by the local councilor Ms Amrit Varsha Rampal and senior party leaders BK Rampal and Sushil Malhotra.

Lauding the services and concern of Ms Rampal, the PCC leader said, she had done lot of work for the area. However, despite all the indifference of the administration the councilors were doing their job well and trying to arrange maximum facilities for the area residents.

Lashing out at the Akali-BJP government Dewan said, their days were numbered as there was an overwhelming response among the people for the party after the appointment of Capt Amarinder Singh as the PCC president.

Among others present on the occasion included Vinodh Bathla Block Congress President, Kiran Bala, Karam Singh, Tarun Singh, Paramjit Singh, Ravinder Sehgal, Ashwani Malhotra and others.
