PAU SEMINAR ON EDUCATION AND ETHICS

LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 23:-



A seminar was organized on 'Education and Ethics' by the postgraduate students of Department of Home Science Extension Education. Inaugurating the seminar, Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, College of Home Science, pointed out that the deliberation was meant to build self-confidence among the students and to impart practical knowledge. She congratulated the organisers for taking the initiative of organizing this seminar.



In the technical session-I, Dr Pritam Singh, former Principal, Khalsa College of Education, Amritsar, spoke on the subject of 'Moral Education - Need of the Hour.' He expressed his concern over the degradation in moral values, which he attributed to the political set-up and the modernization. Dr S.S.Gill, former Director Extension Education, PAU, expressed his views on 'Ethics in occupations,' emphasizing on the need of observing principles and having ethics which was the main crux of the society.



In the technical session-II, the Ph.D students of the department Parul Gupta and Sayanika Bora talked about 'Personality and Ethics' and 'Ethics in Research', respectively. Earlier, briefing about the seminar, Dr Manjeet Kaur, Prof. Home Science Extension Education, said that the whole exercise has been done in order to give practical training to the students, which will be a learning experience for them.
