FREE MEDICAL CAMP was organized by PCTE Institute of Pharmacy near Baddowal Cantt. (Ludhiana) in collaboration with Kulwant Heart and Vascular Center, Kichlu Nagar & National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA) Ludhiana on 16 March 2011. The Sarpanches of Baddowal ( Ms. Kulwinder Kaur) and Jhande (Ms. Charanjeet Kaur) villages inaugurated the Medical Camp.
The honoring ceremony of the doctors was conducted by Dr. K.N.S. Kang, Director General of PCTE Group of Institutes, Dr. B.S. Sekhon ( Dean Pharmacy), Mr. Gurpreet Gill ( Administrative Director, PCTE Group of Institutes), Dr. S.K. Munshi, HOD PCTE Deptt. of Biotechnology and Amit Gautam Asst Professor Pharmacy.
Dr. Kulwant Singh M.D. (Cardiologist), Dr. R. Thaper, President (NIMA), Dr. M.S. Dhaliwal ( Physician), Dr. Pawan Garg (Physician), Dr. S. Pandey (Physician), Dr. S. Gupta M.D.( Physician), Dr. J.S. Kehal (eye specialist), Dr. H.S. Kehal (Physician), Dr. G.K. Kehal (Gynecologist) were there for check up. Around 400 people from neighboring villages like Baddowal, Jhande, Threeke, Assi Kalan, Lalton Kalan, Lalto Khurd, Hasanpur and Ayali Kalan and other villages have availed the facility of free check up, free medicines and free medical test such as ECG, Blood sugar and other medical test during the Medical Camp.
"These medical camps help the poor and needy people who cannot afford the extensive and costly OPD's and also ensures better public health," informed Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana.
