Two days athletics meet, 2011 were held at Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology at Manawala (Amritsar) in which 100 mtr., 200 mtr., 400 mtr., long jump, high jump and athletics related games were held. In which Dr. Kamaljit Singh, Director of Sports Department, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar as a Chief Guest was present in this function. In this function, Chairman of college Sh. Hira Lal Sharma, Management Director Sh. Amit Sharma, Director of college Dr. R.S.Bawa, Dean Academic Dr. S.K. Aggarwal, Dean students (Retd.) Gurmukh Singh, Dr. Vijay Banga, Dr. H.S. Gill, Dr. Mahindru were present. In this function, Dr. Kamaljeet addressed to the students and encourage them to participate in games. Overall trophy was given to Information Technology deptt. Addressing to the student, college MD Amit Sharma asked that student should also participate in games with education. In 1500 race, Jaswinder Singh won gold medal, in long jump Sukhmanpreet -Gold medal and in 400 mtr. race Sanam pal won the first prizes. In this function, Dr. R.S. Bawa distributed prizes to the students of Engg. college.
