The President of Panjabi Sahit Akademi, Prof Gurbhahjan Gill, General Secretary Dr Sukhdev Singh, Sr. Vice President, Shri Sukhjit and other executive members have mourned the sad demise of Sardarni Surinder Kaur Badal wife of Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and mother of Deputy Chief Minister , S. Sukhbir Singh Badal. Gill said that Sardarni Badal always took keen interest in promoting Punjabi language, culture and heritage and always thought for the promotional approaches. He said that the schools should have ample quantity of books for children in Punjabi. She discussed how the Punjabi books can be procured for the library of Dashmesh Public School, Badal.
