Mathematics’ subject for 10th created confusion for the most of the students

The Punjab School Education Board has conducted the first semester examination of 'Mathematics' subject for 10th class on 30th September 2010. The paper was not in proper pattern of the Punjab School Education Board. There are two questions related to the graph paper in every set i.e. A, B, and C, but only single graph paper is provided by the board to the students to solve the both questions. It created a great confusion to the students to solve the questions.

On the other hand in every set Q. no. III the equation is mentioned wrongly. i.e. 7x - 8y = 05, it should be written like 7x - 8y = 5. The zero should not be put before the value of five. It created confusion to the students while multiplying the equation with other equation.

Sh. Rajinder Sharma, President, Association of the Punjab School Education Board, Affiliated Schools, Punjab (Regd) said it had created confusion for the most of the students. He further said that board had to provide grace marks in the above said paper to the students.
