Idea Cellular has posted consolidated net profit of Rs 1,797.4 million for the quarter ended Sep.30, 2010 against Rs 2,014 million for the same quarter a year ago, a decline of 10.75%.
Net sales decreased marginally 0.38% to Rs 36,366.5 million for quarter ended Sep.30, 2010 against Rs 36,504.5 million for the same quarter a year ago.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Oct. 22, 2010, falling 3.81% compared with the Sensex`s 1.12% rise. It outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 11.85% as against 11.33% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the company declined Rs 1.35, or 1.85%, to settle at Rs 71.80. The total volume of shares traded was 362,094 at the BSE (Monday).
