Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation” was celebrated

The "Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation" was celebrated by the students of Everest Pb. Sr. Sec. School, Moti Nagar, Ludhiana, on 1st October 2010. Sh. Rajinder Sharma, President, Association of the PSEB Affiliated Schools, Punjab (Regd.) was the Chief Guest on this occasion. A fancy dress competition was also organised on this occasion.

The Tiny Tots were well dressed up as freedom fighters. The children presented a colour full eye catching programme of song & dance. All the students were seen over joyed during the march past. They also raised the slogan like "Mahatma Gandhi Ki Jai, Bharat Mata Ki Jai etc"

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rajinder Sharma told the students about the importance of the day. They were also told about the various aspects of India & its cultural heritage.

Principal Smt. Asha Sharma distributed Prizes and sweets among the tiny-tots. At the end, Principal said that the appropriate steps would be taken for the spread of education. She exhorted the students to follow the footprint of this great apostle of peace whose teachings are still relevant in this rapidly re-surging India. She also stress upon the students to imbibe the virtues of fortitude and tolerance.
