Sarv Dharam Conference at Ramgharia Girls College Ldh

LUDHIANA, 30th October : The Department of History of Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana in collaboration with 'Swami Vivekananda Study Circle' Conducted a 'Sarv Dharam Conference' on 30 Oct, 2010 to celebrate the 117th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda's world famous address in The World Parliament of Religions at Chicago, U.S.A. Sh. Manish Tewari member Parliament was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The function began with the recital of college shabad. The function commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting performed by S. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council; Principal Dr. Narinder Sandhu and the worthy guests. Mr. Vishal, S. Ranjodh Singh President of Ramgarhia Educational Council welcomed the distinguished guests. Prof. Vinay Sofat acquainted the students with the institute 'Swami Vivekananda Study Circle'.

Eminent Scholars from different religions Father Rogers from Christianity, Brahmkumari Prof. Seema from Hinduism, Naib Maulavi Muhammad Usman Rehman from Islam, S. Shishpal Singh from Sikhism presented their views on the similarity between various religions and said that the biggest religion of all is- HUMANITY. They shared their views on 'APNE DHARAM MEIN DUSRE LOGON KE PRATI AADAR AUR SAMMAN KI BHAVNA'. Addressing the students they threw a flood of light on the importance of all religions. Sh. C.S. Talwar; I.A.S., Spl. Secretary Finance Punjab Government shared his views that no religion teach us to criticize other religion so we should respect all religions. Sharing his views Sh. Manish Tewari said that the ultimate aim of all religions is the attainment of God. So we should not fight on the paths to reach our God. Addressing the students S. Ranjodh Singh President Ramgarhia Educational Council said that we can find God if there would be peace on the earth. So there should not be any discrimination on the basis of religion. The function came to an end with the vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Narinder Sandhu, PPCC Gen Secy Pawan Dewan, Ramesh Joshi, Satish Sharma Showman & others.
