The preparations are on for the PAU Inter-College Youth Festival for the session 2010 -2011 to be held from October 21 – 30. The students of different constituent colleges of PAU are excited and enthusiastic about this gala festival.
Briefing about the preparations for the youth festival, Dr P.P.S. Lubana, Director Students\' Welfare, said that a variety of items including music, dance, theatre and literary items will be held in which more than 500 students will be participating. The committees have been constituted and entrusted various responsibilities for the smooth conduct of various events. He further added that although the students of PAU are from the science stream, yet they have the talent and zeal to win laurels in the various competitions taking place in artistic, creative and other extra curricular activities being organized in the youth festival.
Further elaborating, he said that poetical recitation, debate and declamation contests will take place on October 21and 22 while competitions in fine arts will be held from 23-25 October. On October 28, music and creative dance items and on October 29 all the theatre items – drama, mime and mimicry competitions will be held. Skit, Mono acting and folk dance competitions will take place on October 30.
