PAU Kisan Club hailed the decision of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to fill up the vacant posts of Agriculture and Horticulture Officers in the state. Mr PPS Pangli, President of the Club, said that the decision would boost the agriculture sector and give a push to the farmer welfare schemes. He said that a dialogue between Punjab Rice Millers Exporters Association and members of PAU Kisan Club for quality nonscented basmati production in the state would be worth while. He added that for the coming Kharif season, it would be beneficial as some basic price support system can be worked out for long term production policy on the export commodity in order to compete with the international growers and exporters.
