LUDHIANA, FEBRUARY 25:
A training course on "Integrated pest management (IPM) in vegetable crops under net-house conditions" was organized at Sandhuan village under Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC) – Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT) - Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Centre. Enhancing the knowledge of the farmers, PAU Entomologists Dr. (Mrs) Sandeep Kaur and Dr. (Mrs) Sukhjit Kaur spoke on the entomological aspect and educated them about the control of nematodes and diseases in the net-houses. Various queries raised by the farmers were responded by the experts. Earlier, Dr.Tarsem Lal, Site Coordinator, SRTT, welcomed the farmers whereas Dr. P.S.Brar, Senior Vegetable Breeder-cum-Head, in his inaugural address, dwelt on the IPM net-house technology.
