FASHION SHOW THRILLED THE AUDIENCE ON THE LAST OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FAIR AT PCTE

PCTE Group of Institutes concluded its International students Fair. This Fair was a weeklong event in which different sport events like football, Basket ball, and cultural events were organized between foreign and Indian students of PCTE. Last day of the fair was marked by cultural extravaganza, where foreign students showed their talent in singing, dancing and Fashion show. Dr Rajneesh arora Vice Chancellor Punjab technical University was the chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General PCTE Group of Institutes, Faculty and staff members of the institute were also present on the occasion.



The Cultural extravaganza on the last day was completely organized and managed by foreign students. In the fashion show students from Tanzania, Mozambique, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe designed their own dresses and displayed their art which was unmatchable. Foreign students from different countries highlighted their cultures and projected the rich heritage of their countries.



Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said "Event is great source of inspiration and learning for both foreign and Indian students to understand each other cultures". Dr Kang said that such type of events help in developing the sportsmanship and team work among the students. It's a good platform to learn the skills from each other. He added that about 60 international students from Mozambique, Cameroon, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Rwanda are studying in various courses at PCTE Group of Institutes



Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, welcomed the foreign students in Punjab especially in PTU. He said PTU is among the few Universities in the country where foreign students are studying. He appreciated the contribution of Punjab College of Technical Education which has been instrumental in bringing the culture of foreign students in the university. He said university will launch few initiatives in future as well in association with PCTE to encourage foreign students to get admission in different courses in Punjab technical University.
