Dr. D.R.SINGH MEMORIAL BRITISH PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE commences at PCTE GROUP OF INSTITUTES

Dr. D.R.SINGH MEMORIAL BRITISH PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE started with full zeal at PCTE GROUP OF INSTITUTES at Campus-II, Ludhiana. This event is been organized by Ludhiana Management Association, (LMA). The inaugural ceremony took place at PCTE Campus-2 in the morning. Dr. K.N.S.Kang General secretary, LMA, Mr. Mahesh Munjal, Ex-President LMA, Dr. S.B.Singh, Ex-Principal, GNE and the sponsor of the debate series Mr. Inderjit Nagpal of M/s Haveli Ram Bansi Lal, Ludhiana were present during the ceremony.



"In the competition 32 teams from reputed Institutes/Universities from different parts of the country landed at PCTE. Teams from NLSIU, Banglore, MAMIT, Yamunangar, AIL, Mohali, Excel Institutes Mathura, Law college Dehradun, Chitkara University, Baddi, Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow, UILS, Chandigarh, RGNUL, Patiala etc. are competing in this debate. The Debate competition is being organized in Memory of Late Dr. D.R.Singh, a known academician and founder president of Ludhiana Management Association. The competition will be organized on British Parliamentary format and Cash Prize of Rs 50,000 will be given to winners. The Cash award of the event has been sponsored by M/s Haveli Ram Bansi Lal Ludhiana," informed Dr. K.N.S.Kang, General Secretary, Ludhiana.



In today's debate series the teams which have qualified for quarter finals are Dr. RMLNLU, Lucknow, RGNUL, Patiala, Chitkara University, Baddi, CMC, Ludhiana, Excel Institutes Mathura, AIL, Mohali, NLSIU,Banglore. These teams will be competing against each other to reach into semi-finals and finals which are scheduled for tomorrow, added, Dr. Kang.



Dr.K.N.S.Kang, General secretary, Ludhiana Management Association said that It is a tremendous opportunity for young thinkers to showcase their spontaneity, oratory skills, express their opinion on various subjects and to interact with some of the best minds. Further Dr Kang said that there very few institution in the country where British parliamentary format of debating is followed.
