Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE), Ludhiana organized a placement week starting Monday 26th April 2010 with Helix Technologies, Hyderabad. The company visited the PCTE campus on Monday at a package of 7.69 lac per annum. "200 students from PCTE, Chitkara Rajpura, GIM Amritsar, GNIMT Ludhiana, GNE Ludhiana, LPU Phagwara, RIMT Mandi Gobindgarh and Rayat & Bahara Ropar also participated in Placement drive by Helix Technologies. 20 students were shortlisted in Helix and out of them 9 were PCTE students," informed, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes.
On Thursday, 12 companies visited the campus. Crisil, Auto Dynamic, Oshego Technologies, Birla Sun Life, Bajaj Alliaz, Metlife, Ralson, GTech Technologies, HK Sidhu Institutes, Janpath Real Estates, Nikkamal Jewelers were the companies which recruited PCTE Students on Thursday. Oshego Technologies conducted a written test also and offered a package of 3.5 lac per annum. Neva, HDFC Standard Life, Bajaj Capital and KAD Machines visited the campus on Friday concluding the PCTE Placement week
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said, "The Placements started in Nov 09 for this batch and companies have been visiting the campus since then. A total of 61 companies have offered jobs to the current batch of MBA, so far. Some students have got more than three offers in hand. Fedex, Standard Chartered, Lilliput, Deutchse Bank, Apollo Munich, Infosys, SBI Life , DLF Pramerica, Eastman Hand Tools, Eastman Global, Eastman International, HSBC, Axis bank , IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Lupin were among the other companies which recruited students from PCTE."
