Jammu (Jaspal)
Police seized over three Kilograms Bhuki (Poppy Straw) and arrested the narcotic smuggler being involved to smuggle the substance in an Auto at Miran Shaib of Jammu district late last night.
Reports said that Police established a special naka at Kullian under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib . They intercepted an auto bearing registration NO.6597-JK02R which was on way from Jammu to R.S.Pura and during search of the vehicle over 03.500 kilogram Bukhi (poppy Straw) was recovered from the possession of the passenger . The accused namely Sohan Lal @ sonu s/o Traseem Lal Bhagat r/o Charkha was booked under 8/15 Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA). Vehicle also seized and case stands registered at PS Miran Sahib.
