Shakti Mohan caps the crown of \'Dance India Dance\'

She symbolises power and dedication, not only by her name but also with her unmatched dancing acts. Shakti Mohan, a 24-year-old participant in Zee TV dance show \'Dance India Dance Season 2\' bagged \'Takdir Ki Sunehari Topi\' from Pt. Birju Maharaj.



In addition to the 'Topi' and the trophy, she also received a contract worth Rs50 lakh, a beautiful Wagon R car and a plasma TV.



Shakti, who belonged to Terrence Lewis\' team \'Terrence Ki Toli\', won the title after defeating fellow contestants Dharmesh Sir (from Geeta Ki Gang), Punit (from \'Remo Ke Rangeele\') and Binny Sharma (from Geeta Ki Gang).



From being nobody to being somebody

Shakti tells her story: \"The journey has been really awesome. It is all thanks to Terrence sir that I have come so far and got a chance to wear the Golden hat. He is a mind blowing guru and I will be seeking advice from him regarding whatever I do in future. It just feels great - from being nobody to being somebody.\"



She continues, "Dance India Dance turned out to be a dream for me and I enjoyed every bit of this beautiful journey. My journey of dance started from childhood and I want to continue it on the international level too."



In the grand-finale, Shakti received 7,34,140 votes and left behind Dharmesh Yelande by over 4,000 votes.



Always dreaming to become a bureaucrat, Shakti wanted to appear for civil services examination but landed at \'DID Season 2\' instead.



\"I was always a topper in school and college and was determined to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer. But then \'Dance India Dance\' came along. And now that I have won it, there\'s no looking back,\" she said.



The panel of judges included top choreographers from the Bollywood industry like Geeta Kapur, Terrence Lewis and Remo D\'Souza. Also, dancing legend Mithun Chakraborty played the role of Grand Master in the show.



Shakti to feature in Farah Khan\'s movie

Right now, Bollywood\'s calling for talented Shakti. She will soon feature in the promotional video for Farah Khan\'s \'Tees Mar Khaan\'.



She says \"I don\'t know what offers I will receive in Bollywood in the years to come, but as of now I have one opportunity in hand. Who knows what I end up doing, but first and foremost is my love and passion for dance.\"
