MP sanctions Rs 2 lakh for Sukhdev Memorial school

LUDHIANA,

The local MP and the national spokesperson of the All India Congress Committee Manish Tewari has sanctioned Rs two lakh for the Government Shaheed-e-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Bharat Nagar Chowk from his MPs local area development fund.

A cheque of Rs one lakh was presented to the school principal Smt. Kamaljit Kaur in presence of other teachers while Rs one lakh more will be provided to the school later on. The money will be used for improving the infrastructure facilities at the school.

Tewari said, free and quality education was among his top priority and he had been meticulously chosing the institutions to be presented grants from the MPLAD fund. He hoped that the amount although not so big will help in providing better facilities to the students. The principal and the teachers expressed their gratitude to the MP for providing grant to the school.
