The 64th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the staff and students of Govt. College for Girls, Ludhiana here today The Principal of the College Mrs. Gurminder Kaur unfurled the national flag and paid rich tributes to the great freedom fighters saying that they were great leaders who scarified their lives for the country. She also congratulated the staff and the students on this auspicious occasion. Speaking on the occasion The Principal said the freedom of girl/Women is also important for the society. The incidents happening through out the country against the women are bad for the civilized society so we must launch campaign against the social evils in the society. Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur Head Pol.Sc. sensitized the students about our constitution and our beliefs in democratic values, individual freedom and dignity. one day NSS camp was also organized under the guidance of Miss. Sharanjit & Dr. Jaspreet Kaur. Laddos were distributed among the staff and students.
