PAU KISAN CLUB MEMBERS RECEIVE HI-TECH TRAINING IN JAIPUR

LUDHIANA, JANUARY 24:



A group of farmers of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Kisan Club received hi-tech training on "Green House Management" at International Horticulture Innovation Training Centre (IHITC), Jaipur. The trainees interacted with the Union Minister of Fertilizers and Chemicals, Mr Ravi Kant Zeni and discussed the measures to reduce the consumption of urea in Punjab and Haryana.



The President of the Club, Mr PPS Pangli said that the components of course were very strong. The trainees were imparted hands-on-experience in liquid fertigation, weather station messaging system, certification of organic produce standards and cultivation of flowers in green houses, he informed. Besides, the participating team was educated about olive cultivation which has the potential of being the promising horticultural crop of the future in north India. The farmers also visited olive cultivation farm for practical exposure, he said.
