Old Students Day Celebrated at GCG

The Old students' Association provides an ideal opportunity to all the old students to rekindle their association with their alma mater and to renew the contacts with their teachers. Keeping alive the tradition of previous years, a get together of old students and the faculty of uthe college, was organized here to-day. Three eminent old students were honoured for their achievements in their respective fields and tremendous contribution to the society. Bibi Satinder Kaur Beesla President Istri Akali Dal Nawan Shehar. Miss Khushpal Kaur Rtd. Principal and Ms Manmeet Kaur Sodhia an educationist and Director Ivana Institute of Hotel Management, Rtd. Principal Mrs. Iqbal Kaur were the worthy guests. Principal Mrs. Gurminder Kaur accorded a warm welcome to the guests. Bibi Satinder Kaur Beesla could not reach because of unavoidable circumstances and was honoured in absentia. A cultural programme was also performed to mark the occasion.

Compeering was done by Mrs. Sumeet Brar from the department of English, Presidents' of the Student Council Swati Bhandari and Ziart Priya Kaur. Distinquished Guests included Rtd. Mrs. Manjeet Sodhia, Principal Dr. Mohinder Kaur ,Mrs. Viney Dhanda, Mrs. Neelam Kapoor Executive member Spic Macay, Prof. Jindal , Rtd. Principal Kusum Ahuja, Rtd. Ms. Balbir Bajaj, Dr. Usha Dhingra,Mrs. Santosh, Dr. Kumad Ghai,Mrs. Swarn Grewal. Speaking on the Occasion for Ms. Manmeet Sodhia Director Ivana Institute. Prof. Dharamvir Jindal appreciated and congratulated the college for having produced this gem in form of well developed social, intelligent and fully confident personality. 'Ms. Manmeet sodhia is a great lady She is the icon as a girl let every body follow her'.
