To spread awareness of voting amongst the students , the Deptt. Of Political Science under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur. Function was organized to celebrate National Voter's Day in the premises of GCG Ludhiana here today. Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rahul Tiwari was the Chief Guest on the occasion . Principal Mrs. Gurminder Kaur, welcomed the chief guest. Oath taking ceremony was held.

In his presidential address Mr. Tiwari enlightened and motivated the young minds regarding democracy and power. He said that India is the largest democracy in the world so it is very important that we should exercise the right to Vote. There is no place for average people this is a world for the people who excel. Life gives you so many opportunities. It is very easy to comment and criticize others added he.

A C.D by Election Commission of India was released on the occasion the purpose of the C.D was to enlighten the young minds about their voting rights. Vice Principal Mrs.Sudarshan Mehta proposed the vote of thanks certificates were also given to the participants.

To commemorate the occasion, various Inter -College competitions like Declamation contest, Slogan Writing, Poster making and Essay writing were held.
