A delegation of UCPMA under the leadership of S. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President UCPMA had a meeting with the Sh. Karan Avtar Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour, Industries & Commerce on 30.01.2013 at Chandigarh. He was apprised of the difficulties faced by the industry i.e. regarding developing a NEW FOCAL PONIT, waiving of SAC APPROVAL, ZONING OF INDUSTRY and No Extension No Expansion in Mix Land use Area were discussed in detail. In addition to the above it was made known to the Principal Secretary that Phase-1 to 3 and Phase- 4 to 8 are being controlled by two different government agencies i.e. by GLADA and by PSIEC respectively which cause hindrance to the industry for getting their difficulties removed.

It was suggested that to the Principal Secretary that Phase- 1 to 3 may also be transferred to PSIEC so as to enable the industry to get their work done from the one window i.e. PSIEC which will give relief to the industry.

S. Gumeet Singh Kular informed the Principal Secretary that Mix Land use area has been placed under Category feeder No-1 which causes hindrance to get the new electricity connection by the old as well as new industries situated in Mix Land use Area. He was requested that this area should be transferred to industrial area feeder.
