GADVASU in full swing to hold Athletic Meet

Activities are in full swing to organise the 5th Athletic Meet of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Ludhiana. This information was shared by Dr. K.S.Sandhu Director Student's welfare GADVASU. While informing about the event he said that Dr. V.K. Taneja Vice Chancellor GADVASU will inaugurate the meet on Feb. 09 at 9.30 A.M. at Punjab Agricultural University Track. Sh. Ishwar Singh, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana will be the chief guest to give away the prizes on the same day at 4.30 pm.

Manjit Singh organising secretary of the Athletic Meet informed that after emancipation of the University students are doing well in sports & Co curricular activities from the very first day.

Dr. A.P.S. Brar President Sports Committee GADVASU revealed that all the arrangements to facilitate the sportspersons have been completed. Duties for first aid, record keeping, track related requirements have been ear marked to all the concerned. He said that due to heavy work load of studies students mostly remain engage in their books but this type of free, cheerful day will provide them a break to rejuvenate. The students are busy to create new slogans and banners to boost their favourite ones, where as participants are practising with full zeal for their events, he added. A spectacular Horse Show and Bhangra will be add on bonus events in the concluding function, he informed.

Dr. V.K. Taneja Vice Chancellor extended his best wishes for the participants. He hoped that the students of GADVASU will win laurels for University and nation in the field of education as well as sports also.
