Epic, the animated adventure comedy to hit Indian theatres ahead of U.S.

May 1,2013 INDIA-

Indian market has gained a momentum in the global arena of movies as Hollywood movies keep pouring in over here, sometimes before they are released in the U.S. theatres. One more such fortunate event is going to happen very soon when Hollywood's 3D animated adventure comedy flick Epic will be released in India on May 17, a week ahead of its release in U.S.

The fantasy movie is a big-screen adaptation of William Joyce\'s book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs and the movies rights have been provided to Fox Star Studios. Prominent personalities like Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Steven Tyler and Beyonce Knowles have given the voiceovers for the film. Epic is set to follow the footsteps of Rio by the same studio, which was also released in India first and gained huge success in Indian as well as international box-offices. Epic would be the second foreign film in the animated format to prefer India over other international markets, according to a statement.
