CIPHET scientist bags prestigious Mother Teresa Award

Ludhiana, May 31:

Dr D.M Kadam, Senior Scientist, at the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) has made institute proud by wining Mother Teresa Sadhavana Award-2013 for outstanding individual achievements and distinguished services to the nation from Global Achievers Foundation. He was awarded during the recently concluded function on Individual Contribution for Social and Economic Growth held at New Delhi.

CIPHET Director (Acting) Dr S.N Jha has congratulated Dr D.M Kadam, for getting this prestigious award and hoped that this would encourage the faculty to work with more dedication. Notably, Dr Kadam has also received many awards and recognition including The Young Engineer Award-2008 from the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, Young Scientist Award-2010 from Bioved Research Society, Allahabad and prestigious BOYSCAST FELLOW 2010-11 from Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi to carry advanced research training in Nanotechnology at Iowa State University of Science and Technology of United States.His research areas includes design and development of post-harvest technology machines, drying and dehydration and presently working on development of Nano-particle embedded biodegradable food packaging biopolymers and Nano-bio-composite based construction material for storage of food grains.
