Vet Varsity Scientist Dr R S Sethi attends International conference of Experimental Biology at Boston; USA

Ludhiana, May 21, 2013



Dr R S Sethi, Associate Professor, School of Animal Biotechnology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana attended and presented research paper in the International conference of Experimental Biology at Boston, USA. The research paper was entitled "Chlorpyriphos induces lung inflammation and alters response to E. coli lipopolysaccharide challenge" authored by Amit Ajit Chougule, R S Sethi, David Schneberger, Rajinder Singh Brar, Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Baljit Singh . The research work is the first outcome of the collaborative research programme under International Partnership Fund Program of University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada and GADVASU, Ludhiana.

The said conference is one of the largest scientific get together and was attended more than ten thousand scientists. Dr Sethi is presently member of The American Association of Anatomists which was an organizing partner of the conference. Dr R S Sethi is also serving as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada.

Dr Gurvinder Singh Brah, Director, School of Animal Biotechnology congratulated Dr Sethi and his team for bringing laurel to the Institute. Dr Brah mentioned that School of Animal Biotechnology is the latest unit of GADVASU, however the school boosts to have a state of the art research and teaching facility, earned a number of competitive grants and zeal to grow further.
