PAU TRAINING ON GROUP-LED-EXTENSION

LUDHIANA, JUNE 19:-----



A two-day training course on "Group-led-Extension" will be organized at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) on June 21-22 for Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs), Horticulture Development Officers (HDOs), District Extension Specialists (DESs) and scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). The PAU Directorate of Extension Education will coordinate and supervise the training course.



Giving an overview of the programme, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, said that the PAU extension specialists will delve upon team building, systematic approach, self-help groups, conflict management, capacity building and sustainability of groups of farmers, stress management through group approaches and programme planning and evaluation. Special focus will also be on nurturing and developing the communication skills of trainees in addition to receiving feed back from them. Dr Gill informed that registration for the course will be held on June 21 at 9.00 a.m. at PAU Kairon Kisan Ghar.
