FIRST PHASE FOR PAU ADMISSIONS COMPLETE

LUDHIANA, JUNE 29:-----



With the successful conduct of all entrance tests, the first phase of admission is complete at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The University conducted Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to undergraduate programmes; Agricultural Aptitude Test (AAT) for admission to B. Sc. Agriculture after matriculation; Masters Entrance Test (MET) for various postgraduate programmes.



According to Dr. Baldev Singh Sohal, all the UG and PG programmes attracted large number of students this year (session 2012-13) as compared to last year (2011-12). A record number of students – 4232 appeared for CET this year whereas 3117 candidates appeared last year. For the AAT, as many as 1209 candidates appeared for 70 seats. For various postgraduate programmes 979 candidates appeared whereas this figure was 753 last year (2011-12 session).



According to Dr. R.K.Mahey, Registrar, PAU, the second phase of admission process will begin with counselling on June 29, 2012. Results of various entrance tests and schedule for counseling are available on University website www.pau.edu. Dr. Mahey has advised that the candidates should come for counseling session after confirming their dates from the website.
