PAU STUDENTS BRING LAURELS IN COMPETITIVE EXAMS

LUDHIANA, JUNE 22:-----



The postgraduate students of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) brought laurels to the university in various national and state level competitive examinations. Highlighting the achievements, Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, College of Home Science (COHS), said that Nisha Verma and Kushagara Joshi of the Departments of Clothing & Textiles and Human Development, respectively, have qualified Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Main Examination (Home Science), conducted by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), New Delhi. Besides, three students namely Deepika Bisht and Kavita Kachhawa of Department of Family Resource Management and Food & Nutrition, and Balwinder Kaur of Department of Home Science Extension & Communication Management, have qualified UGC- NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).



Dr. Grewal added that these achievements not only make them eligible for selection as lecturer/Assistant Professor but also entitles them for fellowships for pursuing Ph.D. anywhere across the country. She told that a former student of Department of Food and Nutrition, Anupriya Singh, has topped the list of candidates, selected for the post of Child Development Project Officers, conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Patiala.



Meanwhile, the Head, Department of Economics and Sociology (DES), Dr M.S. Sidhu, informed that a Ph.D (Agricultural Economics) student of the PAU namely Amritpal Kaur has qualified UGC-NET with JRF.
