HEAVY RUSH FOR PAU UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

LUDHIANA, JUNE 15:

A large number of students are aspiring for admission to various Under Graduate programmes of Punjab Agricultural University(PAU). In the Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) held today, for admission to B.Sc. Agriculture 6-year programme, as many as 1219 candidates appeared for the test. According to Dr. Baldev Singh Sohal, Controller of Examination, AAT will screen candidates for admission to B.Sc. Agriculture 6-year programme after 10th Class. The course has been specially instituted to attract candidates from rural areas. For this programme the University offers 70 seats- 50 seats at PAU Ludhiana and 20 seats at Institute of Agricualture, Gurdaspur.



Dr. Sohal also informed that Common Entrance Test (CET) for various Undergraduate programmes at PAU viz. B.Sc. Agri. Hons.( 4 year), B.Sc. Biotechnology (4 year), B.Tech. in Food Technology (4 year) and Integrated Masters Program (5-year) in Basic Sciences, willbe held on 18.6.2012. PAU has received about 5000 applications for these courses out of which 4706 candidates have been called for the test.
