PAU THREE-MONTH TRAINING COURSE FOR YOUNG FARMERS

LUDHIANA, JUNE 22:-----



The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organize a three-month training course on "Integrated Crop Production" for the young farmers from August 1 to October 31, 2012.



Divulging course details, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, said that the rural youths from across the Punjab (except Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts), in the age group of 20 to 40, with a matriculation qualification, will be eligible for this training course. The trainees will be equipped with the innovative techniques and technologies in agriculture and its allied fields, he added.



The aspiring candidates can collect the application form from the PAU Directorate of Extension Education. Informing that the last date for the submission of form is July 27, he told that the interview is slated for July 30 at PAU Kairon Kisan Ghar at 10.00 a.m. The candidates should bring their matriculation and age proof certificates during walk-in-interview. Dr Gill said that the selected candidate will deposit Rs 500/- as security which will be refunded after the successful completion of the course. The course fee is Rs 300/- whereas lodging charges are Rs 100/- per month, told he.
