Today a meeting

Today a meeting was held with Hon'ble Mayor , Sh. Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria along with Sh. Onkar Singh Pahwa, CMD M/s. Avon Cycles Limited, Sh. Shiv Parshad Mittal Chairman of M/s. Aarti Steel Limited and Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association regarding the difficulties being faced by the people during traffic on G.T Road.

G.T road is considered two ways service lane for the speedy traffic but due to the blockage of the same by the people to show their resentment / strike and then this road becomes a single lane which creates hindrance for the proper service of the traffic.

More over it was also discussed that there are so many garbage dumps in Ludhiana i.e. Dholewal chowk , near Dugri canal bridge and adjoining Vishivkarma Park which give bad picture of the city and become injurious for the health of people etc. It was unanimously decided that the dumps should be made in such a way which may not creates hindrance for the traffic and these should be beautified . As Ludhiana is consider to the hub of industry and being known as Manchester of India which is scattered from one corner to another one but due to blockage of roads, traffic becomes poor which creates problems for people as well as industry. As where only 5 minutes required to reach the designation one has to spent at least 30 minutes to reach his destination. The main stress was given in discussion for reforming traffic.

Further it was requested that the Advisory Board of Municipal Corporation work together with the industry representative for development and beautification of the Ludhiana which should look like an example for the others. Further it was made to the Hon'ble Mayor that the cleaning of Sewerage Lines of the city has not been done, with the result they remain overflowing and creates hygienic problems for people and traffic. It was also suggested that the Municipal Corporation should start online services for Water and Sewerage Bill and Disposal Bill which will be beneficial for the corporation as well as for the people.
