Punjabi singer, aides booked for rape

LUDHIANA: Jun 14, 2013,

Punjabi singer Nachhatar Singh Gill and three of his aides have been booked for allegedly raping a city-based model aspirant and using the MMS clip to blackmail her. A case has been registered against Gill, a resident of Phagwara, Charandeep Singh Channi, a builder and resident of Hambran road and his two accomplices Raja and Jagdeep Sohi.

After the 25-year-old victim complained to Ludhiana commissioner of police Ishwar Singh on February 21, 2013, a preliminary inquiry had been conducted by additional deputy commissioner of police Nilambari Jagdale, ACP Ellan Chezhian, inspectors Surinder Mohan and Sukhwinder Kaur.

The case has been registered under the IT Act 2000 and under sections on rape, fraud , threatening and criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.
