THREE-MONTH COURSE ON INTEGRATED CROP PRODUCTION FOR RURAL YOUTH AT PAU

LUDHIANA, JUNE 20:



The Directorate of Extension Education of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organize a three-month training course on "Integrated Crop Production" for the rural youth from August 1 to October 31 at the Kairon Kisan Ghar (KKG) of the University.



Giving details, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, said that the rural youth from across the Punjab state (except Gurdaspur and Amritsar districts), in the age group of 20 to 40, with matriculation qualification, will be eligible for this course. The PAU subject-matter specialists will shed light on different aspects of agriculture. Besides, they will educate the trainees about the innovative farm technologies and the subsidiary occupations for income enhancement, he added.



Dr T.S. Riar, Incharge, Young Farmer's Training Course, informed that the aspiring candidates can collect the application form from the office of Directorate of Extension Education of PAU. The last date for the submission of form is July 29 and the interview will be held on July 30 at KKG at 10.00 a.m., he told. The candidates should bring their matriculation as well as age proof certificates during walk-in-interview. The selected candidate will have to deposit Rs 500/- as security, which will be refunded after the completion of the course, he said, adding that the course fee is Rs 300/- whereas the accommodation charges are Rs 100/- per month.
