In-House training on Liquid chromatography techniques at Vet Varsity

The department of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology in collaboration with Waters (India) Pvt Ltd. organized a one day In-House training on Liquid chromatography techniques and Effective Method Development. Liquid chromatography techniques are beneficial for studying the pharmacokinetics of various drugs and thereby devising strategies for their effective and judicious use. This helps in making the treatment more cost effective. In addition, the liquid chromatography techniques can also be employed for estimating and analyzing the effects of various pesticides.



The training was attended by more than 40 scientists as well as students from GADVASU and PAU. The training was inaugurated by Dr H.S.Sandhu, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU. Speaking on the occasion Dr Sandhu appreciated the initiative and further added that the inputs from the experts of the field would help to specializing and exploring the vast applications of liquid chromatography techniques and thereby widen the scope of their application in various field of research. The programme covered very pertinent topics related to New Separation Techniques, analytical solutions for specific applications, etc. Dr S.Rampal, Prof-cum-Head, Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology said that the scientific deliberations would be quite useful in uplifting the research standards.
