The College of Home Science, PAU, organized an annual event Tantuja, 2012 A Designer Collection Show, where the budding designers of B.Sc. Fashion Designing final year showcased their theme based collections on themes like Halloween, Olympic fever, Vandemataram, Antariksh, Junk to Funk, Bollywood Tadka, etc. Ms Gurleen Kaur got the best designer award for her collection Junk to Funk in which she had utilized the waste products to create beautiful dresses. The Dean, College of Home Science, Dr. Neelam Grewal, congratulated the participants and appreciated their creativity. She mentioned that in the present scenario Fashion Designing is one of the most promising careers. She motivated the students and the faculty of the college to create an awareness about this course of Fashion Designing which is a four year degree programme and also B Sc Home Science for which the last date for applying is June 18.
