Students of College of Dairy Science and Technology bring laurels in 17th AIEEA-PG Examination

Two students of the College of Dairy Science and Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University got cleared in ICAR- JRF examination, 2012. Both the students' secured high ranks in prestigious All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Post Graduate Programme which is also known as ICAR- JRF Examination conducted every year by ICAR, New Delhi. Ms. Alka Parmar who secured 13th rank in Dairy Science discipline was elated over the achievement. She wants to pursue M. Tech. in Dairy Microbiology from NDRI, Karnal whereas another student, Mr. Gursharn Singh who secured 15th rank in Dairy Technology discipline is interested in pursuing M. Tech. in Dairy Engineering from the same institute. Dr. V.K. Taneja, Vice- Chancellor, GADVASU congratulated the students and faculty of the college and appreciated their endeavour. Dr. S.P.S. Sangha, Dean of the college expressed his happiness on the achievement of the students. He said that though the College of Dairy Science and Technology is a new college which was established in the year 2008, students of the college are bringing laurels to the college not only in academics but also in sports and cultural events at national level. Currently, the college is having two academic programmes namely, B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) and M. Tech. (Dairy Technology). Besides going for post graduation in various specialised disciplines of dairy science; dairy technology graduates are also getting job opportunity in dairy and food industry, co-operative dairy plants and dairy development department of the government.
