PAU Vice Chancellor, Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon has expressed his deep condolences over the demise of Jaspal Bhatti-\'King of comedy\' who died in a car accident last night. Describing the death as a shocking and extremely sad incidence, Dr. Dhillon said \"We have lost a great comedian who highlighted the every day problems of common man through his simple humour and satire. His \'Ulta Pulta\' column in The Tribune made everyone laugh through his grit and intelligence. He was a crusader who spread awareness against corruption\".
Jaspal Bhatti was at PAU as the Chief Guest of the ongoing PAU Golden Jubilee Youth Festival on 23.10.12. \"This was his maiden visit to the University and incidentally became the last\", said VC, \"We at PAU all pray for the peace of the departed soul\". A two-minute silence was observed during the Youth Festival, today as a mark of respect.
