Youth festival starts at Vet. Varsity with fine arts competitions

3rd Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary &Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana started today with fine arts events. Dr. Sushil Parbhakar, Controller of Examination was Chief Guest in the morning session. He said that youth festivals are appropriate medium of internal expression of students. We are providing good facilities to students to improve their performance. Participants are also in high spirits. Dr. Charan Kanwal Singh Organizing secretary of festival said that In this session On the Spot Painting and Poster making competition were held. Total 7 students participated among them 2 were girls and 5 boys in Painting competition and 6 boys participated in photography competition. The Subjects of the Photography were 'Portrait of Nature', 'Texture', 'Moods' and for Poster Making subject was 'Natural landscape'. The results of these competitions were as under.

On the Spot Painting:

1 Amanjot Brar (College of Veterinary Science)

2 Barinder Singh (Khalsa College of Veterniary and Animal Sciences Amritsar)

3 Amarpreet Singh (Khalsa College of Veterniary and Animal Sciences Amritsar)



Afternoon session was of Collage Making. Dr. Satinder Pal Singh Sangha, Director Student welfare was Chief Guest in this session. He encouraged the students to show their full potential in fine arts events. In this competition 9 students, 5 girls and 4 boys participated. The subject of this competition was 'White Revolution' Result of this competition was:

1. Tarnjot Kaur (College of Veterinary Science)

2. Parteek Jindal (College of Veterinary Science)

3. Amandeep Kaur (College of Dairy Science and Technology)



In both competitions three colleges of university named College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, School of Animal Biotechnology participated alongwith affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterniary and Animal Sciences Amritsar. Dr. P. N. Diwedi, President, University Dance Drama and Music Club said that said that Prominent Persons, Dr. M. S. Toor and Mr. Kulwant Singh Basra were Judges of the competition. Cartoon Making, Clay Modeling, Debate, Extempore Speech and Elocution competitions will be held on 30.10.2012.
