Hero MotoCorp sales up 18 per cent in October

New Delhi -



Hero MotoCorp, India\'s largest two-wheeler maker, has reported a 18.17 per cent rise in total sales at 6,25,420 units for October this year.



In the same month last year, it had sold 5,29,215 units.



\"This is also the first time that any two-wheeler manufacturer has exceeded the landmark six lakh unit sales in a month,\" it added.



The company\'s previous highest sales for any month was recorded in May this year when it sold 5,57,890 units.



Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said: \"This sales momentum has been helped by our star brands Splendor and Passion and also by the new products... Our recently-introduced five-year warranty and our brand campaigns have also created customer preference for the Hero two-wheelers.\"
