Rajasthan Poll: Backed by Modi, Vasundhara Raje files nomination

Jaipur, Nov 11: Vasundhara Raje, the Chief Minister (CM) candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), filed her nomination from Jhalrapatan (Jhalawar district) on Monday, Nov 11. Raje, who is also the BJP chief in the state, vowed to change the \"pathetic\" present state of Rajasthan if BJP comes to power. Raje, who has been supported by BJP\'s PM candidate Narendra Modi, held a meeting with party members and discussed serious issues regarding the campaigning in the state. Urging the voters to caste their votes to BJP in both assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Raje said, \"We will win from here, Rajasthan, and then form a government in Delhi - under the leadership of Narendra Modi.\" BJP will form a government in Delhi - under the leadership of Narendra Modi \"I assure you that I will leave no stone unturned to form government and then we will work together to bring change in Rajasthan,\" added Raje who was the CM of Rajasthan before Congress\'s Ashok Gehlot defeated her. Addressing the sufferings of the people of Jhalwar, Raje said the area suffered an outbreak of dengue and farmers lost their crops, but they received no compensation from the Congress-led state government. \"Rajasthan stands second in crime against women, it is extremely shameful. The power to make country Congress-free lies with you,\" said Raje lashing out at the ruling government-led by Gehlot. 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan go to polls on Dec 1, while counting shall be conducted on Dec 8.
