Live: Patna blasts suspect confesses three teams placed bombs; Tehseen Akhtar mastermind behind attack







Bihar Police on Monday confirmed that the serial blasts suspects have revealed that three teams were formed to place the bombs so that it could lead to a stampede at BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally in Patna. Read more.



The Patna police and NIA have confirmed that Yasin Bhatkal\'s close aide, Tehseen Akhtar is the mastermind behind the Patna serial blast.



Here\'s what we know about him:







Mohd. Tehseen Akhtar, also known as Monu, is a resident of Samastipur, Bihar. Born in 1990, he is wanted as the mastermind of the Patna serial blast. The NIA has announced reward of Rs 10 lakhs for any information leading to his arrest. Read more here

27.10.2013:

A crude bomb exploded at the Patna railway station on Sunday morning, officials have stated. This was followed by more blasts in the city, near Elphinston cinema and Twins Tower, both near Gandhi Maidan. Several have been reportedly injured. Five people have been reported dead. A total of eight explosions occured.



RPF sources said that the first explosion took place in a paid toilet at the station. \"The first explosion occurred at an isolated place on platform number 10. Another bomb has also be diffused and the security has been tightened,\" informed Manu Maharaj, SSP at the Patna railway station.



This bomb attack came hours ahead of the BJP\'s Hunkar rally in Patna, where Narendra Modi was to address the public. Commenting on the blast, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, BJP, says, \"We condemn this, investigation as to who is behind this must happen.\"
