Panjab University Chandigarh declared the entrance test result for M.Com Business Innovations-1st year admissions at S.C.D Government College Ludhiana. For the forty (40) seats in the course 166 students appeared in the examination and 104 has qualified the entrance test. As per the result gazettee issued by the Panjab University, Harmanpreet Singh with 47.75 marks has secured the first position, Gunjit Kaur trehan has got second position (46.75 marks and Ashrawi Jain has got 3rd position (45.50 marks). Now all the students who has qualified the entrance test has to apply for admission to the course at SCD Government College Ludhiana by 13th July, 2013 after which final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 50% weightage to the entrance test examination and 50% weightage to the markts in the qualifying examination. The final merit list will be displayed on 15th July, 2013 (Evening) and the counselling for the admission will be held on the 16th July, 2013 . The Principal of the College Prof . Rajinder Singh told that only those students will be considred for admission to the course who will submit their admission application forms in the office of the principal SCD Government College Ludhiana by 13th July, 2013 (2 p.m). It is pertinent to mention here that M.Com Business Innovations is a UGC approved Professional programme in Masters in Commerce (M.Com) which has interdisciplinary and industry oriented approach focusing on research and placement. Being the course financed by the University Grants Commission the College will be charging normal fee for the programme (Approxmately Rs. 3700). Prof. Rajinder Singh Principal of the college said that M.Com Business Innovations is a highly innovative programme and appreciating its success in the recently held meeting of the Department of Higher Education Government of Punjab , Principal Secretary Higher Education has expressed its desire to start this course in other Government colleges of the state to provide the students innovative education to make them employable. Presently this course is run only in SCD Government College Ludhiana.
