MAHINDRA IGNITER’S QUOTIENT ORGANISED AT PAU FOR FARM ENGINEERS

LUDHIANA, MARCH 24:



To build engineering prowess and to promote upcoming talent in agri-engineering across the country, a leading organization in the farm industry, Mahindra and Mahindra (Mumbai) organized a students' participative platform "Mahindra IGNITER's Quotient" at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAE&T), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The programme aimed at identifying the young talent in the engineering colleges, engaging them in the early years of study, and giving them a corporate experience. This platform provided an opportunity to the PAU farm engineers to demonstrate their engineering aptitude, and share their passion and professional zeal to excel in their career. In the technical and design quotients, the presentations made by the budding professionals of PAU were highly appreciated by the panel of experts from Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M).

In his remarks, Dr Gursharan Singh, Dean, Postgraduate Studies, PAU, emphasized the need for developing skilled manpower in the organizations. He lauded M&M for shaping and enhancing the skills of the young professionals in the institutions.

Dr PPS Lubana, Dean, COAE&T, exhorted the students to be in task oriented performance mode for achieving the professional excellence in highly competitive global economy.

Dr Satish Gupta and Dr Vishal Bector, members of the Training and Placement Committee of the College, said that the major objective of organizing such events is to promote a healthy learning spirit amongst the students and to engage them in the competitive activities.

A PAU agri-engineering student of third year, Palki Arora emerged as a winner of the technical quotient. In the design contest, a team comprising of Vishawdeep, Harmanpreet, Shayna, Maneka and Azalpreet bagged the first position. The general quotient, "Quiz Competition" was won by the team comprising students namely Naresh Kumar, Sahil and Samridh. All the winners got job passport for direct entry into the recruitment process for starting their career with the visiting organization.
