The PAU scientists including Dr Tarsem Chand, Dr M.S. Alam, Er. Sandhya and Technical Investigator, S. Mahal Singh were also present on the occasion. This plant includes wheat flour milling unit, oil expeller with filter press, and a dana chakki.

In his address, Dr Tarsem Chand, Extension Engineer, PAU, said that this plant is the result of the efforts, put in by the PAU, for turning producers into processors for value addition of agricultural produce. He added that such types of plants are a good source of income and employment generation for the farmers as well as the rural youth. These plants provide better value added products to the people of nearby areas, he observed, while encouraging the other farmers of this area to set-up such plants in future as well.
