AMRITSAR : A five members delegation of BJP senior State level leaders would meet Punjab chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday to lodge their protest against recent hike in Electricity bills throughout the Urban area of Punjab.
Talking to media persons here Tuesday a senior BJP national leader and Punjab Affairs Incharge Balbir Punj said that tomorrow five member delegation consisting MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu, Punjab cabinet minister Manoranjan Kalia, senior BJP leaders Balramji das Tondon, Madan Mohan Mittal and State BJP president Professor Rajinder Bhandari would meet Badal at Chandigarh to loege their protest against electric tariff hike in Punjab.
Punj said that earlier Punjab Government had assured BJP that burden of tariff hike would not be slapped on masses as it would be adjusted through Government exchequer but things appeared altogether different.
Punj said that BJP delegation would also ask CM for refund to masses for the money received after tariff hike.
