Ludhiana : A middle-aged women and her two minor daughters, residents of Karnal district in Haryana, were found murdered in the fields at Haibowal here today, police said.
All the three bodies bore multiple stab wounds and were found lying in a pool of blood near the Civil City locality, police said.
They were identified as 35-year-old Simran, whose parents live in Ludhiana city, and her two daughters Pooja and Divya aged eight and five respectively.
The three hailed from Karnal district and were in the city in connection with distribution of invitation cards for a wedding ceremony in the family.
Police said they were working on various leads to solve the triple murder case.
