An emergency meeting of all the Associations of the City has been organized in United Cycle & Parts Manufacturers Association under the Presidentship of S. Gurmeet Singh Kular to discuss the problems faced by the Industrialists. The main agenda for the meeting was the unfavourable behavior of the Punjab government especially regarding hike in "POWER TARIFF AND VAT REFUND".

Before start of the discussion, the Secretary UCPMA, Sh. Pardeep Wadhawan thanked all the members for attending the meeting on very short notice and requested the president to start the proceeding. President Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular also thanked all the members and updated them regarding the objectives of the meeting. He requested all the members that they should focus to the agenda while speaking and giving their valuable suggestions.

Almost all the speakers of the different association exhibited their resentment against the hike in "POWER TARIFF AND NON REFUND OF VAT". All the speakers were of the view to constitute a committee to take action. In the last the association's spokesman Sh. KK Seth was kind enough to announce the following measures to be taken in this respect to show resentment against the above action of the government.

1. An action committee should be formed in the name of "All Industries and Trade Forum ". Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular president was announced as convener of the committee by all the Association's representatives. Sh. Gurmeet Singh Kular will nominate other members from the Other Associations of the City.

2. To show our resentment the members should have black flags on their shirts.

3. Stickers should be prepared to put on the back of the cars written as "SARKAR JAGO".

4. Pamphlet be distributed among the public, showing resentment about the hike in POWER TARIFF.

In the meeting more than 40 Associations of the city took part to make the meeting result oriented and successful.
